omani-heritageMNEC are currently doing a total refurbishment of a shop at the Muttrah Corniche for the Oman Heritage Gallery.

The gallery itself will be beautiful when complete. It will be full of Omani features and products, such as a floor covered with Nizwa stone, a ceiling made of wooden runners covered with hand-woven mats, and an exterior wall with exposed glass sections that allow visitors to view the way walls were traditionally constructed in Oman.

Azaibah Hotel

manazelAzaibah Hotel is a five-star project currently being constructed near Seeb’s Airport Heights in Oman. The hotel will have 240 rooms, 4 themed restaurants and multi-level basement parking, as well as other amenities, and is expected to be operational by late 2013.

Manazel Construction has been awarded the contract to supply and install marble for the internal flooring and wall cladding for all public areas. Manazel is excited to be part of this RO30 million development.

Salalah Airport

salalahThe new terminal at Salalah Airport is one of Manazel Construction’s largest and most prestigious projects. When complete, the airport will be the second biggest in Oman with a capacity to cater for one million passengers. The airport has been designed in a way to allow for further expansions in the future.

In addition to the internal work being carried out at the airport by Manazel Construction for Larsen & Toubro (India) Ltd, Manazel has been awarded the contract – by Galfar Engineering & Contracting SAOG – to supply and install the external hard scaping of over 50,000 m2 of marble and granite.

Royal Oman Police Forensic Lab

Rukun Al Yaqeen International LLC (RAYOMAN)

The machines include an Agilent Transformer Oil Gas Analyser (TOGA), used to analyse dissolved gases in transformer oil, and an Agilent GC-MS instrument used to analyse polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in transformer oil.

Al Mahaje Interchange

Oman LLC recently awarded MNEC the contract for the diversion of all the existing water main pipelines, related drainage and road works for the Al Mahaje roundabout interchange. The 100 mm, 150 mm, 200 mm, 250 mm, 300 mm and 600 mm pipelines are to be diverted and connected, including the installation of gate valves, air valves and fire hydrant points.

All work will be as per the Muscat Municipality and Public Authority of Electricity and Water specifications when complete.

news22Few companies in the Arabian Gulf can match this Omani Company’s experience in designing, building and maintaining STP’s and RO plants

Environmental Engineering Services (EES) LLC, Oman’s specialists in the design, installation and maintenance of sewage systems, pronounced 2003 “a good year,” having secured government contracts for six sewage treatment plants (STPs) along with two-year operation and maintenance contracts for 20 existing STPs in various districts of the sultanate.

EES, a company of the Muna Noor Group, also received purchase orders for 19 incinerators from Al Safa Poultry Farm.

The current year also began promisingly, with the government awarding two STP projects in the first three months. The company has constructed around 45 STPs in various districts of Oman since 1986.

In addition to STPs and incinerators, EES has been engaged in supplying and installing reverse osmosis plants for nearly 20 years. Its technical partners for STPs are Wyatt UK, K-Pack System, India, and Hydrotechnica of Greece. It is also technically associated with the UAE’s Celar Water Equipment Company for reverse Osmosis and with Facultatieve Technologies, UK, formerly Evans Universal, UK, for incinerators.

Discussing EES activities, its manager Arjun Raha said: Based on feasibility studies, we make detailed engineering, layout and piping drawings and hydraulic flow diagrams. wefwe
“Some components such as blowers, diffusers communitors and pumps are imported from the UK. Other metal and electrical parts are procured locally for which we also use our own fabrication facilities at Techrock LLC, an associate company.

“For sewage treatment projects, EES has the ability to undertake a full turnkey job with the civil works, done by Manazel Construction, the design, erection and maintenance by EES and fabrication of metal and electrical components by Techrock,”

Manazel is another Muna Noor company and has a fully equipped workshop in the Ghallah locality of Muscat with a welding machine up to 600 amps, drilling machine of capacity 50 mm diameter, machines for hydraulic pipe bending, gas cutting, hacksaw cutting and plate rolling; lathes, grinders and a sand blasting unit.

Other divisions in the Muna Noor Group are pipes (Omanplast); Pest Control and public health; agriculture, irrigation; Science and Technology (Science & Technology Equipment (Oman) LLC; Explosives (Al Fajar Al Alamia Co – SAOG), drilling and blasting (Technical Services and Rock Blasting Co. LLC), and Omani Heritage Gallery (Not for profit).

EES has constructed sewage treatment plants for clients including the Royal Oman Police, WJ Towell, Ghubrah Guest House, Sultan’s Specila Force, the Diwan of the royal Court, Oman Cement Company, the Qaboos Hospital, Salalah; Rostaq General Hospital, the Royal Oman Symphony Orchestra and Granada Gardens.

The list also includes Sawadi Resort Hotel, Sinaw General Hospital, Al Jarjoor Fish Factory, Gulf Hotel Extension, Sur Novotel, Hilton Salalah, National Mineral Water Company-Tanuf, Petroleum Development Oman, National Pharmaceutical Industry, ROP Stables, Dream Tourist Village, Qalhat Housing Complex, the Royal Guard of Oman, Oman Fisheries Company, Khoula Hospital and Royal Oman Police Housing Complex, among other parties.

Bilad_Swweweayt-6The company has had maintenance contracts for 43 sewage treatment plants over the years.

Some 141 reverse osmosis plants have been designed, supplied, installed, tested and commissioned by EES. Most of these plants are located in the UAE, while parties from Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Yemen, Tanzania, Somalia and Libya also placed orders.

Among EES facilities is a well-equipped Laboratory at Ghubrah, also in Muscat city, where wastewater samples are analysed. The Laboratory also possesses an open channel flow meter, an automatic composite sampler and all other instruments needed for the laboratory. The company accepts samples for analysis from other sewage treatment contractors for their day-to-day operations and submits test results to the relevant authorities.

“We have constructed and commissioned sewage treatment plants for a minimum population of 20 to 30 people (eight cu m per day) to 4,000 people (1,200 cu m per day) with a provision for expansion to 6,000 people (1,800 cu m per day),” said Raha.
